Dubai is one of the main cities of the United Arab Emirates. Originally a small fishing village, it developed into a regional commercial center in the early 20th century and expanded rapidly in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, with an emphasis on tourism and luxury. Everyone already knows about Dubai and you either want to go there or not.
After seeing the funny slide of the Sky Views Observatory on Instagram several times, I wanted to go there alone. Also for the incredible view of the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building on planet Earth). Here are some reasons why you should stop too:
1. 360-degree view
Sky View with its twin towers offers a unique 360-degree view of the Dubai skyline, allowing for breathtaking views in all directions, which is not possible with the single-tower Burj building Khalifa. This amazing feature allows you to immerse yourself in the entire cityscape without obstacles.
You can see literally everything, except of course what lies behind the Burj Khalifa.
2. View of the Burj Khalifa
The reason why I didn't want to visit the Burj Khalifa is because from the Sky Views observatory you have an incredible view of Dubai, including the Burj Khalifa!
If you are been to the Burj before, yes you are in the tallest building in the world (amazing!) and you have an amazing view, but that's about it.
3. Glass Slide
Climb the Glass Slide, a transparent tube that surrounds the exterior of the tower and connects level 53 to the lower level 52, for a unique and adrenaline-filled experience.
If you suffer from heights, you shouldn't use the glass slide. Otherwise, it's fun to level up at Sky Views Observatory! In the end I was afraid to go through glass, but the adrenaline is fun, right?
You can also see the Burj. Khalifa, the tallest building in Dubai, also on the right.
4. Glass floor
Even if you are afraid of heights, it is best to skip this part.
Lo Sky Views Observatory has a 46 meter high glass floor to enjoy spectacular views of the fabulous city. Skyline and glittering coastline.
At times I had a little dizzy walking on the glass floor, but it was really fun and interesting to see all this happen underneath you. And this says a lot, because Dubai is not a quiet city!
5. Edge Walk
I haven't done the Edge Walk yet, but if you're ready for an even bigger challenge and an even bigger adrenaline rush than the Glass Slide, the Edge Walk is for you!
"The Sky Views Observatory Edge Walk is Dubai's most exciting attraction and the first of its kind in the region.
It is the largest comprehensive tour of the city. Walk in a hands-free circle on a rocky outcrop surrounding the top of the tower's main capsule, more than 230 meters from the ground, taking thrill-seekers to the top of the center of Dubai's skyscrapers.
This walk takes visitors to the outside of the building, with no windows or other protective barriers between them and the view from above. "
6. Cheaper
According to my latest knowledge update in December 2023, the standard ticket prices for At The Top Observation Decks at Burj Khalifa were generally more expensive than Sky Views Observatory
However, ticket prices may change over time, so check the official website for information latest prices.Web sites.
Since Dubai is already very expensive, I prefer to choose the cheapest option
More a tip (secret)
Ok, I'll give you another expert tip. If you want to see the photo below, you need to wear your best smile.
I took this photo from the lower level of the sliding glass part (my friend was on the other side). Normally this is a very difficult place to get to because the line for the slide is long and the staff only have a few seconds before someone gets off. So put on your friendliest smile and ask the staff if it's possible to take a photo.
They said to us that we would be back in 30 minutes if there were fewer people. We only had 10 seconds (and counting!) to take this photo. So make sure you are ready before taking the photo.
